O R D E R

Petitioner seeks a direction to respondents 3 to 5, particularly, fifth respondent to give police protection for conducting 39th Santhanakudu @ Urs Function which is to be held on 23.04.2017 in Ravathanallur Post, Sankarapuram Taluk, Villupuram District, based on the second respondent communication in Na.Ka.N.S.225/The.Aa/Va.Aa/ Villupuram/2017 dated 05.04.2017.

2. Heard learned counsel for petitioner, learned counsel for respondents 1 and 2 and learned Government Advocate [Crl.side] for respondents 3 to 5.

3. Learned counsel for Wakf Board informs that though the petitioner is recognized as a Muthawalli of Dhargas on the basis of a proforma submitted by him, the Management of Dhargas is to be entrusted in the hands of a Committee. Learned counsel for petitioner fairly submits that there is no such committee as on date.

In the circumstances, the Criminal Original Petition does not survive consideration and accordingly, the same is dismissed. This order is without prejudice to petitioner as also other members of Dhargas arriving at consensus regards conduct of 39th Santhanakudu @ Urs Function.
