Prayer in W.P.No.7300 of 2004: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the fifth respondent herein to forthwith enquire into the manner in which tenders are floated and awarded by respondents 1 and 2 herein in respect of the works in North West Sub Division of Public Works Department, Chepauk, Chennai 600005 for the past 2 years and the abuse of official position by respondents 3 and 4 herein for illegal gratification and personal gains in the award of contracts in the said Sub Division and take appropriate action on the same. 7301 of 2004: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the fifth respondents 1 and 2 herein to issue tender notices in respect of all works in the North West Sub Division of Public Works Department, Chepauk, Chennai 600005 to the petitioner by RPAD on receipt of the cost of the same in a lump sum in advance from the petitioner, so as to enable the petitioner to thereafter obtain tender schedules and participate in the tenders. Today, when these matters are taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner made a submission that the prayer sought for in the writ petitions have become infructuous and she has also made endorsements to that effect.
