PRAYER:

Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus to direct the third respondent herein to secure and produce the detenue, the father of the petitioner, namely Mr.R.S.Jaganathan, aged about 85 years before this Court and set him free. For Petitioner : Mr.V.R.Appaswamee For Respondents : Mr.V.M.R.Rajentran, Addl. Public Prosecutor for R1 to R3.

(Order of the Court was made by C.T.SELVAM, J.) This petition has been filed to direct the third respondent to secure and produce the detenue, the father of the petitioner, namely Mr.R.S.Jaganathan, aged about 85 years before this Court and set him free.

2. The third respondent has filed a status report on 08.12.2017 informing that steps have been taken to trace the missing person, father of the petitioner, aged 85 years. He has presently filed further status report dated 07.02.2018. A perusal of the status report indicates that prospectove steps have been adopted to trace the missing person.

3. In the circumstances, this Habeas Corpus Petition stand closed placing requirement on the third respondent to continue his efforts to trace the missing person.
