O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioners seeking a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider and dispose of their representations dated 20.02.2016. 2.Heard Mr.V.Bhiman, learned counsel for the petitioners. Mr.S.Gunasekaran, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondent.

3.The petitioners herein, on completion of 10 years of services in the Municipalities on daily wages, were appointed in the time scale of pay as per G.O.Ms.1644, Rural Development and Local Administration Department, dated 12.10.1979. Since the petitioners have rendered services for more than 14, 15, 18 & 19 years respectively in the various Municipalities, they made representations dated 20.02.2016 to the respondent to take into account their half of the past services atleast on daily wages on humanitarian ground for acquiring pensionary benefits and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

other benefits like that of the other Municipality workers. As the same has not been considered by the respondent, they have come forward with the present writ petition.

4.The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that a direction may be issued to the respondent to consider the petitioners' representation dated 20.02.2016. 5.Considering the fact that the petitioners' representation is pending without any response, this Court directs the respondent to consider the pending representations of the petitioners dated 20.02.2016 and pass a speaking order, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
