Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 4th and 5th respondent police to give police protection to the petitioner for laying down fencing work in and around the four corner of the temple property comprised in S.No. 346, Patta No. 1446, Ward No.4, Block No. 10 situated at Tiruvannamalai Taluk.

ORDER

The prayer sought for in the present petition is to direct the 4th and 5th respondent police to give police protection to the petitioner for laying down fencing work in and around the four corner of the temple property comprised in S.No. 346, Patta No. 1446, Ward No.4, Block No. 10 situated at Tiruvannamalai Taluk.

2. No appearance for the petitioner. Heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents

3. On perusal of records, it is seen that the petitioner seeks police protection for fencing in the temple properly situated in SurveyNo. 346, Patta No. 1446, Ward No.4, Block No. 10, Tiruvannamalai Taluk. It is also seen that with regard to the same, the petitioner did not make any representation to the concerned police station. Therefore, the prayer sought for in the present petition cannot be entertained.

4. However, the petitioner is at liberty to file a fresh representation to the concerned jurisdictional police seeking police protection, on fresh cause of action, if so advised. In view of the above, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs.
