Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of The Constitution of India seeking for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing respondents 1 to 5 not to permit the 6th respondent to construct a Gas warehouse in survey No.297/2b in Chettipulam village, Vedaranyam Taluk, Nagapattinam District based on the petitioner's representation dated 13.02.2018. O R D E R

The petitioner claims to be one of the Administrator of Sri Mazhaimariyamman Temple at Chettipulam Village, Nagapattinam District. The said Temple owned 2.44 acres of land in Chettipulam Village in survey No.314/4 and 313. The land belonging to the 6th respondent is also situated near to the land

belonging to the Temple, wherein, a gas warehouse is going to be set up. If gas warehouse is located, this would cause immense problem to the Temple administration to have annual festival, which is being conducted every year for more than 10 days and in the said event, minimum 10,000 devotees used to assemble. If any untoward incident takes place in the gas godown, this would cause huge problem to the Temple and public. Therefore, objection has been given by the petitioner on 13.02.2018 to the 3rd respondent and the same has not been attended to. Therefore, a direction be given to consider the petitioner's representation dated 13.02.2018.

2.Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents sought for four weeks time to consider the pending representation/objection submitted by the petitioner. 3.Accepting the submission of the learned Additional Government Pleader, this Court directs the respondents concerned to consider the pending representation on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
