When the matter was called for hearing, none appeared on behalf of the petitioner.

2.This Writ Petition was filed questioning the proceedings of the respondent dated 21.07.2012 through which the petitioner was transferred to Salem Division on various grounds by the respondent. 3.When the matter is taken up for consideration, it is brought to the notice of this Court by the learned counsel for the respondent that the petitioner is no more and he died on 27.10.2016 and the copy of the death certificate is also placed before the Court.

4.In view of the same, the relief sought in the Writ Petition has become infructuous and accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed as having become infructuous. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
