Mrs.K.Bhuvaneswari, learned Government Advocate, takes notice for the respondents.

2. By consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to dispose of the appeal dated 07.02.2017, within a time frame. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that though the petitioner has preferred an appeal before the 2nd respondent as early as on 07.02.2017, the same has not yet been disposed of.

5. Mrs.K.Bhuvaneswari, learned Government Advocate, appearing for the respondents submitted that the 2nd respondent may be directed to dispose of the appeal in accordance with law, within a time frame.

6. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner in the Writ Petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 2nd respondent to dispose of the appeal preferred by the petitioner dated 07.02.2017, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

With the above observation, the writ petition is disposed of . No costs. Connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
