This Petition has been filed by the two sons of N.Ramaswamy and Padmini Ramaswamy, seeking Succession Certificate to be issued under the provisions of Section 372 of the Indian Succession Act, 1925 in relation to the securities held in the name of the father N.Ramaswamy, in the name of the mother Padmini Ramaswamy and in the joint names of both the Padmini Ramaswamy and N.Ramaswamy. Details of those securities have been given in the schedule to the Petition.

The father of the petitioners died on 19.10.2011 and the mother died on 25.09.2021. They both died intestate. The petitioners are sons and stated that there are other class-I legal heirs.

After following due procedure, the petitioners were invited to tender evidence. The first petitioner examined himself as PW-1. The death certificate of his father and mother were marked as Exs. P-1 and P-3 and the legal heirship certificate of his father and mother were marked as Exs. P-2 and P-4. In view of the evidence presented, this Petition stands allowed as prayed for and a direction for grant of Succession Certificate to be issued in the joint names of both the petitioners with power to securities and to receive the interest and dividends on and negotiate and transfer the securities specified in the schedule is issued. The petitioners are directed to render accounts once in a year.
