ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondents to lay a new bitumen road in Vallalar Nagar, Thirumulaivoyal, Chennai based upon the petitioner's representation dated 04.07.2018.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing for the respondents.

3. According to the petitioner, he is a resident of Vallalar Nagar 4th street, Thirumullaivoyal, Chennai. He has https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

been residing there for more than 30 years and there is a road running in front of the above street. So far the road is not properly maintained and no bitumen road has been formed. Hence, he made a representation to the second petitioner for laying a bitumen road. But his representation was not considered. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

4. The Standing Counsel appearing for the second respondent submitted that already the second respondent municipality has taken steps to lay a bitumen road and administrative sanction has already been granted, but waiting for technical sanction. After obtaining technical sanction, the road will be laid.

5. Recording the submission of the Standing Counsel for the second respondent, the second respondent municipality is directed to take steps expeditiously to lay the road.

6. With the above observation , the Writ petition is closed. No costs.
