ORDER

[The Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH,J.] The prayer in the writ petition is to call for the records from the file of the first respondent in R.P.No.15/1998, dated 18.10.2002 and also that of the second respondent in proceedings in M.P.No.124/1998 in O.P.No.113 of 1997, dated 09.07.1998 and quash the same as illegal and incompetent.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned counsel appearing for respondents 4 to 8.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that since the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, is coming into force, liberty may be given to the petitioners to approach the said Forum. Incidentally, a request has been made by the learned counsel for the petitioners to maintain status quo for a period of four weeks.

4. Considering the above submissions made and also taking into consideration the issue involved in this case, the Writ Petition stands disposed of, giving liberty to the petitioners to file an appeal before the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Till such time, status quo as on today shall be maintained by the parties. No costs. The connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
