The prayer sought for herein is for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 28.09.2019.

2. The petitioner has given representation on 28.09.2019 to the first respondent / Revenue Divisional Officer for getting a death certificate of his mother one Kenammbal, who according to the petitioner died on 19.01.2013. In order to consider the said representation, the petitioner has moved the present writ petition.

3. Heard Ms.M.Sankari, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.N.Naveen Kumar, learned Government Advocate appearing for the first respondent and Mrs.Vanitha Joice Rani, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the second respondent.

4. Learned Government Advocate appearing for the first respondent would submit that, the said representation submitted by the petitioner would be considered and decided, on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.

Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for in this writ petition and having regard to the said submissions made by the learned Government Advocate appearing for the first respondent, this Court directs the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 28.09.2019 and pass orders thereon, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With these directions, the writ petition is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
