The petitioner/A1 who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 294(b), 353 and 506(i) of IPC r/w Section 4(1)(aa) of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act in Crime No.72 of 2024, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. It is stated that in the previous night to 26.01.2024, the respondent had found that A4 and A5 selling liquor. The respondent were able to secure A2, A3, A4 and A5. A4 and A5 had been granted bail. A2 and A3 are still in custody. They are all employees of Tasmac Bar namely, Jil Jil A/c. Garden Bar. This petitioner is the Manager of the said bar. It is stated that he had been responsible for buying liquor in bulk quantity and selling it in the black market. It is also alleged that when the respondent tried to secure him, he had pushed them and ran away.

smv 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner stated that the petitioner was not aware of whatever the other accused were doing but that he is a Manager is admitted and that the other accused were the employees of the bar is also admitted.

4.Taking all the factors into consideration, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
