ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] This habeas corpus petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondents to produce the petitioner's husband, missing person herein, viz., Kishore, aged about 28 years, before this Court and set him at liberty.

It is the case of the petitioner that her husband Kishore, aged about 28 years, went missing from 27.10.2020 and that the police are not taking effective steps to secure him. 3.

Today, Mr.P.Munikkumar (Mobile No.94981 29706), Grade I Police Constable, J-8, Neelankarai Police Station, is present. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

On instructions, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on a complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Neelankarai Police Station Crime No.1339 of 2020 for 'man missing' was registered on 28.10.2020; during investigation, it came to light that Kishore had borrowed a sum of Rs.40,00,000/- from various persons and since he was not able to repay them, he has gone hiding.

Recording the same, this habeas corpus petition is closed with a direction to the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Neelankarai, to monitor the investigation in Neelankarai Police Station Crime No.1339 of 2020 and keep the petitioner informed of the developments, if any. As and when the detenu Kishore, aged about 28 years, is secured, he may be produced before the Judicial Magistrate Court No.II, Alandur, under intimation to the petitioner.
