..Respondent(s) Prayer: This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to issue joint patta for the land measuring 50 cents in S.No.451/1, New S.No.451/1A as per patta No.61 in Murugapatti Village, previously known as Palacode Taluk, present known as Karimangalam Taluk, Dharmapuri District by considering the petitioner's application dated 15.11.2022.

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 15.11.2022.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in this case, the petitioner has made an application dated 15.11.2022 to issue joint patta for the land measuring 50 cents in S.No.451/1, New.S.No.451/1A as per patta

No.61 in Murugapatti Village, previously known as palacode Taluk, presently known as Karimangalam Taluk, Dharmapuri District. However, the said application was not at all considered by the respondent, as on date. Hence, this petition.

3. In reply, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent would submit that the petitioner's application dated 15.11.2022 will be considered by the respondent within a period of 4 weeks.

4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

5. In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the respondent to dispose of the petitioner's application dated 15.11.2022, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
