T.V.THAMILSELVI,J., The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 417 and 506(i) of IPC, in Crime No.9 of 2023, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner and the defacto complainant are doctors and they both are working in a same clinic. They developed love with each other and were in sexual relationship and when the defacto complainant had asked the petitioner to marry her, initially the petitioner accepted to marry her and thereafter, refused to marry her also threatened her with dire consequences. Hence, the case. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner neither developed illegal intimacy nor developed any affair with the defacto complainant but she has given a complaint as if, they both were in love affair and sexual intercourse and thereafter, refused to marry her. He further submits that the petitioner is innocent and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent submits that the petitioner and the defacto complainant were in love with each other and they were in sexual relationship. Thereafter, the petitioner refused to marry her and also threated her. He further submits that a detailed investigation is required in this case. Hence, he opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Taking into consideration of the above facts and circumstances and also the submission of the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) that this case needs a detailed investigation, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
