ORDER
The prayer in the writ petition is for a mandamus directing the first respondent to dispose of the petitioner's petition dated 08.12.2024 filed before the first respondent under Section 23 of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007, within the time stipulated by this Court.
2. It can be seen that the application under Section 23 of the said Act has to be disposed of by the second respondent, namely, the Revenue Divisional Officer and not the first respondent.
3.This writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage and this Court is not expressing any opinion on any of the allegations made by the petitioner and no notice has also been served on the third respondent in the writ petition.
4. This writ petition is disposed of with the following directions:- (i) The first respondent shall forward the petition of the petitioner dated 08.12.2025 to the file of the second respondent. (ii) The second respondent shall take up the petition of the petitioner and issue notice to the petitioner, the third respondent and any other person interested in the matter and conduct an enquiry in the manner known to law and
dispose of the same as early as possible, in any event not later than four months from the date of receipt of the web copy of the order without waiting for the certified copy of the order.
(iii) No costs.
