ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Section 5 and 7(3) of Lotteries Regulation Act, 1998 in Cr.No.865 of 2020 seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The petitioner is the sole accused in this case. It is alleged that the petitioner was in possession of banned lottery tickets. Hence, the respondent police registered the case against the petitioner.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and is no way connected with the alleged offence. Hence he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that the petitioner was found in possession of banned lottery tickets. He would further submit that there are 3 previous cases pending against the petitioner similar in nature. Hence he vehemently opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and also the fact that there are 3 previous cases pending against the petitioner similar in nature, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
