ORDER

This petition has been filed to punish the respondents for the wilful disobedience of the order dated 19.04.2018 passed by this Court in Crl.O.P.No.11729 of 2018. 2.The petitioner filed Crl.O.P.No.11729 of 2018, in which, this Court passed the following order on 19.04.2018: "3. In view of the order passed by this Court in Sugesan Transport Pvt. Ltd. vs. The Assistant Commissioner of Police, J2, Adyar Police Station, Adyar, Chennai 600 020 and another [2016 (5) CTC 577 : 2016-2-LW (Crl.) 499] , this petition is not maintainable.

4. Hence, this petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to work out his remedy in the manner set out in Sugesan (supra)."

3. While so, the petitioner has filed the present contempt application alleging non-compliance of the order dated 19.04.2018.

4. Heard Mr.Ramesh, Party-in-person, who submitted that the order dated 19.04.2018 has not been complied with by the police. However, on a reading of the order dated 19.04.2018, it is seen that this Court has not given any direction to the police at all and in fact, this Court has only given liberty to the petitioner to follow the mandates of the judgment of this Court in Sugesan Transport Pvt. Ltd. vs. The Assistant Commissioner of Police, J2, Adyar Police Station, Adyar, Chennai 600 020 and another [2016 (5) CTC 577]. It is not known as to how the Registry numbered this petition even. Hence, this contempt petition is closed.
