ORDER

The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to cancel the settlement deeds in Deed Nos.4887/2016 and 4888/2016, dated 26.12.2016, on the file of Sub Registrar at Shoolagiri by considering his representation dated 20.01.2017.

2. Mr.A.N.Thambidurai, learned Special Government Pleader, taking notice for the respondent submitted that the respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 20.01.2017 and pass orders, in accordance with law, after giving notice to the counter claimants.

Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and also taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the writ petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 20.01.2017, after giving notice to the counter claimants and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
