O R D E R

The Contempt Petition is filed to punish the respondents for their willful disobedience of the order passed by this Court on 09.10.2018 in W.P.No.26508 of 2017.

2. This Court directed the respondents to consider the medical reimbursement application of the petitioner in accordance with the guidelines issued under the scheme and pass orders.

3. The learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents furnished the copy of a letter sent by the Commissioner of Treasuries and Accounts to the District Treasury, Nagercoil on 27.01.2020, wherein, it is stated that "the United India Insurance Company Ltd., has informed that the eligible quantified amount of

Rs.1,57,466/- has been settled to Thiru.A.George Stephen (Petitioner) for the treatment taken by the petitioner in the Holy Cross Hospital vide their cheque No.945894, IDBI Bank, dated 21.12.2019 to comply the order of the Hon'ble High Court of Madras dated 09.10.2018 in W.P.No.26508 of 2017".

4. In view of the fact that the order passed by this Court has been implemented and the medical reimbursement claim is settled, no further consideration is required in respect of the Contempt Petition filed by the petitioner. Consequently, the Contempt Petition is closed. No costs.
