..Respondents Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to consider the representation dated 28.11.2017 of the petitioner to waive off the electricity bill of Rs.48,618/-, which is alleged as pending payment and to accept the application for name transfer of the electricity connection from the earlier owner to the name of the petitioner and his wife.

The petitioner seeks for a mandamus directing the respondents to consider his representation dated 28.11.2017, wherein and whereby, he sought for waiving the electricity bill amount of
Rs.48,618/-.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that the electricity reading was not noted properly and accurately and on the other hand, the same was noted in the random manner with approximate assessment. Therefore, it is contended that the petitioner is entitled to get waiving of the electricity bill amount of Rs.48,618/-. Ventilating such grievance, the petitioner has also made a representation on 28.11.2017 and the said representation is still pending.
3. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the fourth respondent to consider and decide the same.
4. It is also stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner that during the pendency of the writ petition, the electricity service connection to the subject matter premises was disconnected.
5. Considering the above stated facts and circumstances, the fourth respondent is directed to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 28.11.2017, without any further delay, after hearing the petitioner as well. Such exercise shall be done by the fourth respondent, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of, accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
