Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to complete the selection for appointment to the post of Pharmacist pursuant to notification No.25/MRB/2012 dated 20.03.2012 issued by the six respondent for which interview call letters were issued in Na.Ka.No.20/MSRB/2012 dated 19.06.2012, without getting influenced by GO (2D) No.55 dated 06.07.2012 and to consider the case of the petitioners for an appointment to the post of Pharmacist in the State of Tamil Nadu.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to complete the selection for appointment to the post of Pharmacist pursuant to the notification No.25/MRB/2012 dated 20.03.2012 issued by the six respondent for which interview call letters were issued in Na.Ka.No.20/MSRB/2012 dated 19.06.2012, without getting influenced by GO (2D) No.55 dated 06.07.2012 and to consider the case of the petitioners for an appointment to the post of Pharmacist in the State of Tamil Nadu.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned counsel appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.

3. It is seen that now the entire system for appointment to the post of Pharmacist has been modified to the effect that the appointment should be made only by written examination. Therefore, the prayer sought for in this writ petition cannot be considered and the writ petition is devoid of merits and it is liable to be dismissed. 3/5

4. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
