When the matter came up for hearing on 13.02.2024, 05.06.2024, there was no representation for the petitioner and hence, the matter was directed to be listed on 13.06.2024. On 13.06.2024, there was no representation on behalf of the petitioner. Registry was directed to delete the name of the counsel for the petitioner and print the name of the petitioner in the cause list. Therefore, this case was directed to be listed on 25.06.2024. Even today, there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner.

2. The letter No.Na.Ka.No.1463/2011/g,2 dated 23.02.2011 issued by the first respondent namely, Collector of Tiruvannamalai District is under challenge.

3. Mrs.C.Sangamithirai, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the first to third respondents submits that against the impugned order, the petitioner should have preferred an appeal and he has not availed the statutory appeal available to him.

4. The petitioner has averred in the petition that the Panchayat President created false records and selected one Tmt.Vijaya, 4th respondent herein for the post of Panchayat Clerk. The petitioner has further averred that the circular was forwarded to the second respondent in Na.Ka.No.1403/2011 dated 02.02.2011. Accordingly, the impugned order was passed by the first respondent and appointed the 4th respondent as clerk of the third respondent Panchayat.

5. It is made clear that the petitioner has failed to avail the efficacious remedy by preferring appeal against the order of the second respondent.

6. Recording the submission made by the learned Special Government Pleader, this writ petition stands dismissed. There is no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. 25.06.2024 Index : Yes/No Internet : Yes/No kkd 3/4
