This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking for police protection in order to enable the petitioner and his family members to enter the Church premises.

2. Heard Mr.K.P.Chandrasekaran, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.A.Damodaran, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for respondent.

3. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that there is a civil dispute pending between the parties. Therefore, the representation of the petitioner was not acted upon.

4. In the considered view of this Court, the dispute between the parties is purely civil in nature and the police should not interfere with the civil dispute. In such circumstances, the relief sought for in the present petition cannot be granted.
