[Respondents] Petition filed under Section 482 of the Criminal Procedure Code, to direct the second respondent to proceed further as per law in Crime No.941 of 2016 and to take action with a iron hand against the land grabbers under the supervision of the first respondent within a time frame stipulated by this Court for the petitioner's property (i.e.)49.77 cents in New S.No.2/40 (Old S.No.2/1B3A Part-1), Sholinganallur.

O R D E R

Despite the directions as well as the orders passed by this Court in Cont.P.No.982 of 2016, the matter has not been investigated properly by the respondents. Alleging such complaint, the petitioner is before this Court with this Criminal Original Petition for a direction to take action against the encroachers of his property in question. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that a case in Crime No.941 of 2016 has been registered on 13.07.2016 by the second respondent police and that since the relevant documents have to be obtained from the Tahsildar office concerned, sufficient time is required for completion of enquiry and to file report.

3.Though an year had already been elapsed, to give quietus to the issue, the respondent police is directed to complete the investigation in the matter within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No further delay will be entertained. With this direction, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
