This petition has been filed for extention of time to comply the condition imposed by the learned Principal Sessions Judge, Thiruvallur in Crl.M.P.No.2923 of 2024 in Crl.A.No.100 of 2024 dated 30.05.2024, thereby directed the petitioner to deposit 20% of the compensation amount before the trial Court within a period of sixty days.

The provision under Section 148 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, provides only sixty days time to make deposit, in order to comply the condition while suspending the sentence under Section 148 of the Negotiable Instruments Act. That apart, the order has been passed by the Appellate Court on 30.05.2024, thereby directing the petitioner to deposit 20% of the cheque amount to the credit of S.T.C.No.40 of 2017, within a period of sixty days failing which, the order passed will stand cancelled automatically. 3.
The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is a lady and she separated from her husband and therefore, she is struggling for her livelihood.

Considering the above, the petitioner shall deposit 20% of the award amount on or before 07.02.2025, failing which the order of suspending the sentence shall stand cancelled. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
