(Order of the Court was delivered by V.M.VELUMANI, J.) The present Writ Petition is filed for a direction to the respondents to complete the enquiry initiated on petitioner's representation dated 10.10.2022 by the 1st respondent in its letter in Moo.Mu.A2/109/2022 dated 31.10.2022 within a time fixed by this Court.

2. By consent of both the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. Heard Mr.A.Asokan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and perused the entire materials on record.

4. According to the petitioner, he belongs to Hindu Kuravan Community, which is a recognized Scheduled Caste Community. He is the first graduate in his family and to pursue his post graduate, he has applied for scholarship granted by the Government to Scheduled Caste Community. But the College is insisting the petitioner to produce his community certificate. Therefore, the petitioner has made a representation dated 10.10.2022 to the respondents requesting to issue community certificate to him. The 1st respondent by his letter in Moo.Mu.A2/109/2022 dated 31.10.2022 directed the 2nd respondent to conduct enquiry immediately and send a report. Till date, the 2nd respondent has not conducted any enquiry and hence, the petitioner has come out with the present writ petition for the above stated relief.

5. Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the representation of the petitioner dated 10.10.2022 will be considered by the 2nd respondent and necessary orders will be passed in accordance with law within the time limit fixed by this Court.

6. Considering the above submissions of the learned counsel 3/6

appearing for the petitioner as well as the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, the 2nd respondent is directed to complete the enquiry and pass necessary orders on the representation given by the petitioner dated 10.10.2022 for issuance of community certificate on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
