O R D E R

This petition has been filed to quash the proceedings in Crime No.3 of 2016 pending investigation on the file of the respondent police.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that in respect of Crime No.3 of 2016 on the file of the first respondent, charge sheet was laid and the same was taken congnizance in SC.No.14 of 2016 on the file of the learned Principal Sessions Court, Vellore, which thereafter ended in acquittal as such the prayer sought for in this petition has become infructuous.

In view of the submissions of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this criminal original petition is dismissed as infructuous.

Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
