PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of declaration declaring that the declaration notification under 6 in GO.Ms.No.1126 dated 26.07.1983 shall stand lapsed in terms of Section 24 (2) of Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (Act 30 of 2013) and also the purpose of acquisition is defeated as it is not implemented insofar as the petitioner's land to the extent of 5.36 acres comprised in S.No.7/1, Kandampatti Village, Salem. This writ petition has been filed to issue a writ of declaration declaring that the declaration notification under 6 in GO.Ms.No.1126 dated 26.07.1983 shall stand lapsed in terms of Section 24 (2) of Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (Act 30 of 2013) and also the purpose of acquisition is defeated as it is not implemented insofar as the petitioner's land to the extent of 5.36 acres comprised in S.No.7/1, Kandampatti Village, Salem.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioners seeks permission of this Court to withdraw the writ petition.

3. In view of the request made by the learned counsel for the petitioners, this writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No order as to costs.
