Prayer:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to dispose the petitioner's Patta Passbook applications dated 11.12.2017, 24.12.2018 and 10.01.2019 in accordance with law, pertaining to the property in comprising Survey No.451/22 vide measuring 1872 sq.ft situated at Anniyur Village and Post, Vikkiravandi Taluk, Villupuram District, within Registration District of Villupuram, Sub-Registration Office at Anniyur, within stipulated time.

petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. The petitioner seeks for Mandamus directing the second respondent to dispose the petitioner's Patta Passbook applications dated 11.12.2017, 24.12.2018 and 10.01.2019 in accordance with law, pertaining to the property comprised in Survey No.451/22, measuring an extent of 1872 sq.ft situated at Anniyur Village and Post, Vikkiravandi Taluk, Villupuram District.
3. The grievance of the petitioner before this Court is that the applications filed seeking for patta in respect of the subject matter property has not been considered by the second respondent so far.
4. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the second respondent to consider and decide the same on merits and in accordance with law. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of, only by directing the second respondent to consider the applications of the petitioner dated 11.12.2017, 24.12.2018 and 10.01.2019 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the rival claimants, if any. Such exercise shall be done by the second respondent within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
