ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to respondents 1 and 2 to correct the father's name of the 2nd petitioner in her Birth Certificate based on the 1st petitioner representation dated 24.12.2025.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that in the Birth Certificate of the second petitioner, the father's name is erroneously mentioned as S.Shanmugam instead of S.Eakambaram. To carry out this correction, the first petitioner made a representation on 24.12.2025 which has not yet been considered. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners further submitted that this Court may issue a direction to the respondents to consider the said representation dated 24.12.2025, within a stipulated period as fixed by this Court.
4. The learned counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner's representation will be considered and appropriate order will be passed on merits.
5. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed on record.
6. Considering the above submissions, this Court is of the view that it is suffice to direct the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representations dated 24.12.2025, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with
law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7. With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
