Respondents [in both W.Ps] PRAYER in both W.Ps. : Writ Petitions have been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for all relevant records relating to the impugned Notification in Advertisement No.257, dated 29.12.2010, for the Group-I Examination 2010-2011, issued by the first respondent, regarding the direct recruitment for 23 backlog vacancies for Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe Candidates, to the post of Deputy Collector, in the Tamil Nadu Civil Service, thereby direct the first and second respondents to relax the maximum age limit to apply for the said post of Deputy collector under the backlog vacancies for Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe Candidates, in the said examination and consequently to accept the applications of the petitioners for the said examination in order to participate in the selection process, for the selection and appointment of the petitioners on merits.
