Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to consider, dispose of and pass orders on merits on the representation of the petitioner dated 27.09.2022 to include his name in the list of contract labourers and to absorb him as permanent employee in the Respondents Board. For Petitioner : Mr.A.Saravanan For Respondents : Mr.Anand Gopalan for M/s.Agam Law COMMON ORDER Though the above writ petitions are listed as different matters in the cause list, since the issue involved in all these writ petitions being one and the same, with the consent of the learned counsel appearing for both sides, these writ petitions are heard together and disposed of by way of this common order.

These Writ petitions have been filed seeking direction to the respondents herein to consider and pass orders on merits on the representations made by the respective petitioners, seeking to include their name in the list of contract labourers and to absorb them as permanent employee in the Respondents Board.
3. The case of the petitioners is that, they were engaged as contract labourers in the office of the 3rd respondent on different dates and they were allotted emergency works for maintaining uninterrupted power supply and also Page No.2 of 6
during Thane cyclone, Vartha cyclone and Gaja cyclone for Tamil Nadu Electricity Board. While so, to identify them as contract labourers and to get compensation and also to appoint them permanently in the 3rd respondent, they have submitted necessary applications along with necessary documents to the respondents. Though the applications to consider the same were submitted, their names were not in the included in the identification list, which were prepared by the 2nd respondent periodically. Therefore, the petitioners submitted their respective representations to the 2nd respondent, however, till date, no orders have been passed on the same. Hence, the petitioners have come up with these writ petitions.

Though very many grounds have been raised in these writ petitions, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that, it would suffice, if this Court, issues a direction to the respondents to consider the representations made by the respective petitioners and to consequently include their names in the list of contract labourers and to absorb them as permanent employee in the Respondents Board, as expeditiously as possible.
5. Learned counsel appearing for the respondents submits that, the representations made the respective petitioners will be considered and Page No.3 of 6
appropriate orders will be passed within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.
6. Considering the limited relief sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioners, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the representations made by the respective petitioners and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioners and aggrieved persons if any.
7. With the above directions, these Writ Petitions stand disposed of. No costs.
