Prayer in WP.No.4520 of 2026: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking issuance of writ of certiorarified mandamus, calling for the records of the second Respondent herein in pro. Na.ka. 51/Pa.2/ TNSTC (Villupuram) / Kanchi/ 2025 dated 28.05.2025, to quash the same in so far as it relates to fixation of pay of the petitioner and to issue consequential directions to the respondents to fix the pay of the petitioner as Rs. 30,200 /- w.e.f 18.06.2025 and disburse the arrears thereof with interest and also to refund the Rs.4,33,660 /- which was deducted by the respondents all within a limited time frame.

Na.ka. 51/Pa.2/ TNSTC (Villupuram) / Kanchi/ 2025 dated 28.05.2025, to quash the same in so far as it relates to fixation of pay of the petitioner and to issue consequential directions to the respondents to fix the pay of the petitioner as Rs. 30,200 /- w.e.f 28.05.2025 and disburse the arrears thereof with interest and also to refund the Rs.2,00,000/- which was deducted by the respondents all within a limited time frame.

COMMON ORDER These Writ Petitions have been filed challenging the order dated 28.05.2025 to quash the same in so far as it relates to fixation of pay of the petitioner and to issue consequential directions to the respondents to fix the pay of the petitioner and disburse the arrears thereof with interest and also to refund the amount, which was deducted by the respondents.

2. With the consent of the learned counsel appearing on either side, these Writ Petitions are taken up for final hearing at the admission stage.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that the petitioners entered service as a Temporary Conductor in the year 2001. However, their services were regularized only in the year 2003, after prolonged litigation and the pay was not fixed on par with the co-employees, who were recruited in the year 2003 thereby, the present writ petitions are filed.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that this Court may grant liberty to the petitioners to workout the remedy before the competent forum for claiming the pay on par with the co-employees.

5. In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, these Writ Petitions are disposed of with liberty to the petitioners to workout their remedy before appropriate forum by way of application or representation within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If the petitioners are approached the competent forum by way of application or representation, the competent authority shall dispose of the same as expeditiously as possible. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
