ORDER

The relief sought for in the present writ petition is to forbear the respondents and their subordinates from demanding or collecting entry tax on the petitioner's new SCORPIO Car bearing Chassis No.A2J64162 and Engine No.MBA4H21148, to be registered and further direct the third respondent to assign new registration mark.

2.The writ petition was filed on 27.10.2010 in respect of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the new SCORPIO car purchased by the petitioner, which was temporarily registered at the Registering Authority, Delhi on 22.09.2010 and the validity of the registration was up to 21.10.2010. The said car was admittedly purchased in the year 2010 and now eleven years have lapsed.

3.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, none appears for the petitioner so as to ascertain the present status of the car purchased in the year 2010. However, the relief sought for is to forbear the respondents from demanding or collecting entry tax.

4.In view of efflux of time, the relief sought for to forbear the respondents cannot be granted and if at all any grievance exists as of now to the petitioner, it is left open to the petitioner to approach the competent authority for redressal of the same.

Accordingly, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
