..Respondents Prayer:- The Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents 1 to 3 herein to give water supply and sewerage connection to the petitioners' respective houses situated at Old No.128, New No.132 P.M.Dharga, 3rd Street, Triplicane, Chennai - 600 005.

ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Standing Counsel for the respondents. By consent of the learned counsel appearing for the parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioners have come up with this writ petition for issuance of a writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to give water supply and sewerage connection to the petitioners' houses situated at Old No.128, New No.132 P.M.Dharga, 3rd Street, Triplicane, Chennai - 600 005.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that though the petitioners have made allegations against the respondents, they would be satisfied if a direction is issued to the second respondent to dispose of their representation dated 16.03.2018.

4. The learned counsel for the respondents submitted that the building in which the petitioners are residing as tenants was already provided with water connection and it seems that a dispute existing between the landlord and the petitioners. It is further submitted that the representation of the petitioners would be disposed of in accordance with law.

5. In the light of the above submissions of the learned counsels on either side, this Court, without going into the merits of the cases, directs the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 16.03.2018 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after providing an opportunity of hearing to all the necessary parties, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
