..Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 & 2 to issue Patta for the house site situated at Cheyyur Village, Arokkanam Taluk, as per Patta No.392, Old S.No.77/1, New Survey No.77/1L, measuring an extent of about 6000 Sq.ft., ad measuring East-West:48 feet, North-South: 125 feet, totaling 6,000 square feet, bounded on the East: Plot of Narasammal, South: Poromboke land, North: Street, West: Vacant plot of Kandhasami, in the petitioner's name in the light of the parent sale deed dated 20.02.1970 registered as document No.593/1970, on the file of SRO, Arakkonam and title sale deed 13.11.2009 registered as document No.11145/2009 on the file of the Sub-Registrar's Office, Arakkonam and make necessary entries in the revenue records like Adangal etc.

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to deal with the representation/application made by the petitioner seeking for patta in respect of the subject property. 2.Heard Mr.S.Saravana Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader for respondents. 3.The case of the petitioner is that the right and title to the property is traceable through the sale deed dated 22.09.1970 and in fact, natham patta in patta No.392 was also issued. The petitioner became the owner of the property through a registered sale deed dated 13.11.2009. Thereafter, the petitioner made an on-line application seeking for patta. Since the same was not considered, a representation was made on 29.09.2024. This representation also did not evoke any response.

Left with no other option, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court. 4.

this Court is inclined to dispose of this writ petition with a direction to the respondents to pass appropriate orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of the order. It is made clear that if there is any rival claim they shall also be put on notice before a final decision is taken. 5.This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions.
