A.No.1173 of 2022 in C.S.No.362 of 2021 P.VELMURUGAN.,J This application has been filed by the applicants/plaintiffs to amend the long and short cause title and statement of address in the plaint.

2. The plaintiffs have filed the suit for partition, in which, the 9th defendant has been described as "Branch Manager, Lakshmi Vilas Bank, Purasaiwalkam Branch, 75, Gangadeeshwar Koil Street, Purasaiwakkam, Chennai". Now the applicants have stated that Lakshmi Vilas Bank has merged with DBS Bank Limited. Therefore, the nomenclature of the 9th defendant has to be amended as "Branch Manager, DBS Bank Limited", instead of Lakshmi Vilas Bank.

3. Learned counsel for the 9th respondent has also admitted the same and he has no serious objection to amend the cause title.

4. Therefore, this application is allowed.

5. Learned counsel for the applicants/plaintiffs is directed to carry out necessary amendments in the original plaint and also file the amended copy of the plaint within a week.

6. List the matter on 29.03.2022.
