This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's application for the grant of a contract carriage permit.
2. According to the petitioner, the petitioner has filed an application on 31.08.2016 seeking for the grant of a Contract Carriage permit. Even though the respondent has received the same on 31.08.2016, so far, no order has been passed despite several representations made by the petitioner. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner.
3. Considering the limited prayer sought in the Writ Petition, without going into the merits of the case, the respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's application for the grant of a contract carriage permit and pass suitable orders on merits and in accordance with law after giving opportunity to the petitioner within a period of six weeks from https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
the date of receipt of the copy of this order. In the result, the present Writ Petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
