his name in the list of contract labourers and to absorb him as permanent employee in the Respondents Board.

For Petitioner (in all WPs) : Mr.A.Saravanan For Respondents (in all WPs) : Mr.Anand Gopalan for M/s.Agam Legal ***** COMMON ORDER Since the issue involved in these writ petitions are one and the same, with the consent of the learned counsel appearing for the parties, these writ petitions were heard together and disposed of by way of this common order.

2. The case of the respective petitioner is that, they were engaged as contract labourers in the office of the 3rd respondent on different dates and they were allotted emergency work for maintaining uninterrupted power supply and also during Thane cyclone, Vartha cyclone and Gaja cyclone for Tamil Nadu Electricity Board. While so, to identify them as contract labourers and to get compensation and also to appoint them permanently in the 3rd respondent, they have submitted necessary application along with necessary documents to the respondents. Though Page No.2 of 6

the applications to consider the same were submitted, their names were not in the included in the identification list, which were prepared by the 2nd respondent periodically. Therefore, they have submitted respective representation to the 2nd respondent, however, till date, the same has not been considered. Hence, the above writ petitions have been filed before this Court.

3. Though very many grounds have been raised in these writ petitions, learned counsel appearing for the respective petitioner submits that, it would suffice, if this Court, issues a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the respective representation of the respective petitioner and pass appropriate orders, within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.

4. Learned counsel appearing for the respondents submits that, the respective representation of the respective petitioner will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed, as expeditiously as possible.

5. Considering the limited relief sought for by the learned counsel appearing for the respective petitioner, this Court, without going into the Page No.3 of 6

merits of the case, directs the 2nd respondent to consider the respective representation of the respective petitioner and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above directions, the Writ Petitions are disposed of. No costs.
