ORDER

Mr.S.Balamurugan, learned Government Advocate accepts notice for R1, being the District Society Registrar and is armed with instructions to enable a purposeful adjudication of this Writ Petition, even at the stage of admission. No notice is thought necessary to the private respondents, arrayed as R2 to R12, in light of the order proposed to be passed protecting their interests as well.

2. The petitioner seeks a mandamus simplicitor directing R1 to consider her representation dated 28.01.2024 and to conduct re-election, such that the election of R12 - Mr.D.Ernest Daniel stands cancelled. The election of R12 has been notified on 11.01.2024 by the Election Committee and the petitioner is aggrieved by the same.

3. Inter alia, the petitioner has also arrayed private respondents as R2 to R11, which he would agree are unnecessary as he has no grievance as against their election.

4. Mr.Balamurugan, would accede to the receipt of representation 2/4

of the petitioner dated 28.01.2024 and would also agree that the same would be disposed expeditiously.

5. Hence, mandamus is issued to R1 to issue notice to the petitioner as well as R12, hear them and pass orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 28.01.2024 on merits and in accordance with law as well as applicable rules and regulations, within a period of two (2) weeks from date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. This Writ Petition is disposed as above. No costs. Connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
