2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties.
3. The petitioner is a resident of Ervadi Village. It is alleged that permission to quarry is being given by the respondent/ authorities in agricultural lands and because of the quarrying activities done by the third respondent, the water body of the village (situated adjacent to agricultural lands) is getting greatly affected. The petitioner sent a representation on 26.12.2016 to the District Collector requesting him not to grant any quarry in Ervadi Village. However, no order has been passed till date. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed to direct the first respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 26.12.2016.
4. Considering the narrow scope of the petition, we direct the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 26.12.2016 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as the third respondent. Such orders shall be passed by the first respondent within three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
