The Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1, 2 and 3, restraining the 4th respondent from contesting in the election of the Asoor Village Panchayat, Kancheepuram Taluk and remove her name from the list of candidates who are contesting in the election for Asoor Village Panchayat, Kancheepuram Taluk and pass such further orders.
