PRAYER: This Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C., to direct the respondent police to register the petitioner's complaint dated 02.08.2021 and thereby comply with the direction issued by the Special Court for SC/ST, Perambalur under Section 156(3) of Code of Criminal Procedure in Crl.M.P.No.751 of 2021 vide order dated 23.09.2021, investigate and file a final report to the competent Court of law, within a time frame fixed by this court.

ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, to direct the respondent police to register the petitioner's complaint dated 02.08.2021 and thereby comply with the direction issued by the Special Court for SC/ST, Perambalur under Section 156(3) of Code of Criminal Procedure in Crl.M.P.No.751 of 2021 vide order dated 23.09.2021, investigate and file a final report to the competent Court of law.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, Mr.V.Meganathan, learned Government Advocate (criminal side) for the respondent would submit that on the reference made by the Special Court for SC/ST, Perambalur in Crl.M.P.No.751 of 2021 dated 23.09.2021, a case has been registered by the Inspector of Police, Kunnam Police Station, Perambalur District in Crime No.49 of 2022 for the offences under Sections 34, 109, 147, 148, 323, 465, 468, 469, 471, 489 & 506(ii) of IPC read with Section 4 of the Tamil https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Woman Act, 2002 and under Sections 3(1) (iv), 3(1)(v), 3(1)(x), 3(1)(xi) of the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989. He would further submit that the respondent/Deputy Superintendent of Police, Perambalur District will conduct investigation and will file a final report within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3.Recording the same, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed with a direction to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Perambalur District to conduct the investigation in Crime No.49 of 2022 and file a final report as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within period of six months from today.
