O R D E R

This Writ petition is filed, seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent to pass orders on the statutory appeal preferred by the petitioner against the orders of the 1st respondent imposing a punishment in Na.Ka.No.A2/26771/2014 dated 18.9.2020 within a reasonable time.

2. Mr.J.Pothiraj, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for respondents. By consent, final orders are passed in the Writ Petition at the admissions stage.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner has preferred a Statutory appeal, dated 30.09.2020 before the 2nd respondent against the charge memo issued by the 1st respondent on the petitioner under Rule 17 (b) of the TNCS (D&A) Rules, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

thereby imposing a punishment. Since, there is no steps taken on the appeal, the petitioner has preferred the present writ petition, seeking an appropriate direction to the 2st respondent to dispose of the same within a stipulated period.

4. In view of the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner and if the Petitioner's appeal is already pending with the authorities concerned and, not disposed of earlier, this Court directs the 2nd respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 30.09.2020, in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to all parties concerned, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
