A memo dated 06.09.2024 is filed in W.P.No.24969 of 2005 by the petitioner which is extracted below:
'As against the order of the Life Insurance Corporation dt. 13.10.2004 vide Order NO.Estates/N21 terminating the lease and the Petition No.7 of 2005 dt. 20.7.2004 issued by the 3rd Respondent as illegal, arbitrary and unconstitutional.
Today (6.9.2024) when the matter came up for hearing before this Hon'ble Court, the Petitioner has agreed during the hearing to give up the Room No.21, 3rd Floor, No.156, Thambu Chetty Street, Chennai - 600 001 and handover the same to the representative of the 1st Respondent Life Insurance Corporation of India on or before 31.12.2004 in full quits.'
2.In light of the above memo where the petitioner agrees to give up Room No.21, 3rd Floor, No.156, Thambu Chetty Street, Chennai-600 001 and handover the 2/4
same to the representative of the Life Insurance Corporation of India on or before 31.12.2024, nothing would survive in impugned order dated 13.10.2004. 3.Recording the same and in anticipation of the handover of the premises prior to 31.12.2024 to the Life Insurance Corporation of India as undertaken above, this writ petition is disposed. Liberty is always available to the Life Insurance Corporation of India to demand such charges as may be payable by the petitioner in regard to the said premises, albeit in accordance with law. No costs. Connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
