(Order of the Court was made by C.Kumarappan J.) The present Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents 2 to 4 to remove the encroachment made by the respondent No.5 to 9 in the Odai Poramboke comprised in S.No.449, situated at Velliangadu Village, Mettupalayam, Coimbatore District and to provide the free flow of water in the water channel by considering the petitioners' representation dated 16.12.2021.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for R1 to R4 would submit that the respondents 3 and 4 are the Authorities to take action for removal of the above encroachments made in the water body.

3. In view of the above submission, we deem it appropriate to direct the respondents 3 and 4 to conduct inspection and survey the property. In case encroachments are identified, the respondents 3 and 4 shall proceed further in accordance with law for eviction of encroachments as expeditiously as possible. No costs.
