Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure praying to direct the respondents 4 and 5 not to harass the petitioners based on the complaint lodged by the 6th respondent under the guise of enquiry.

ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent Police not to harass the petitioner under the guise of enquiry 2.

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner. 3.

Mr.A.Damodaran, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondents on instructions submitted that there was a money dispute between the parties. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor further submitted that based on the complaint given by the 6th 2/4

respondent, the enquiry is pending before the 4th respondent in Current Paper No.19 of 2024 and before the 5th respondent in CSR 150 of 2024. 4.

Taking into consideration the fact that the nature of the dispute involved in this case is a money dispute, it is for the parties to adjudicate the same before the appropriate Civil Court and the respondent police will have no role to play in a case of this nature.
