Common Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondent herein to receive the application of the petitioner, dated 10.01.2024 in Form CCPA and the prescribed fee paid by the petitioner through online for the grant of Auto Rickshaw Permit to operate the vehicle within radius of 30 K.M. distance from Salem Town Old Bus Stand, Salem and to consider the same.

COMMON ORDER The petitioners have filed the Writ Petitions, seeking direction to the Respondent to receive the applications of the petitioners, dated 10.01.2024 for getting Auto Rickshaw Permit to operate the vehicle within radius of 30 K.M. distance from Salem Town Old Bus Stand, Salem and to pass appropriate orders.

2. Mr.V.Ravi, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the Respondent. By consent of both the counsels appearing on either side, the Writ Petitions are taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. Mr.A.Ganesan, learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners are not able to submit the applications through online for getting Auto Rickshaw Permit in view of some technical glitches. The prescribed fee is also not accepted through online and that the petitioners could not even submit their applications.

4. Mr.V.Ravi, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the Respondent submitted that the petitioners can hand over the applications manually also, but on payment of necessary fees.

5. In view of the above, the petitioners shall approach the respondent authorities in person and submit their applications either manually or through online along with the prescribed fee. On receipt of the applications, the respondent is directed to consider the same and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If the petitioners face any difficulty in submitting the applications through online, the respondents shall accept the manual applications as well.
